The ThinkTank at Cannon School is a cutting-edge makerspace designed to immerse Middle School students in hands-on, interdisciplinary learning. The MiLL

The MiLL @ Cannon School is a dynamic 5,000-square-foot Technology and Design Studio dedicated to Upper School students. This state-of-the-art facility encompasses a Makerspace Studio, Fabrication Studio, Computer Studio, and eSports facility. Here, students engage in hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They have access to a diverse array of tools and technologies, including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and virtual reality equipment. This empowers them to explore fields such as robotics, media arts, engineering, and digital design.

Flying

The nearest airport is Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA), approximately 7 miles west of downtown Concord. It offers commercial flights primarily operated by Allegiant Air, with destinations including Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and New Orleans.

For a broader range of flights, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is about 30 miles southwest of Cannon School, providing extensive domestic and international services.

Driving

From Charlotte (South): Take I-85 North to Exit 52 for Poplar Tent Road. Turn right off the exit; Cannon School is approximately one mile ahead on the right at 5801 Poplar Tent Road.

From Greensboro (North): Take I-85 South to Exit 54 for Kannapolis Parkway/George W. Liles Parkway. Turn left off the exit, proceed 0.6 miles, then turn right onto Poplar Tent Road. Cannon School is 0.7 miles ahead on the left.

From Raleigh (East): Take I-40 West to I-85 South. Follow the directions from Greensboro above.

From Asheville (West): Take I-40 East to I-77 South, then merge onto I-85 North. Follow the directions from Charlotte above.
